Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity to engage in conversation about your child’s learning. Parents/guardians and teachers are able to connect face-to-face and communicate openly about student learning, especially with respect to areas of strength and areas of growth. They help build and sustain respectful relationships that allow both parties to share information and develop strategies to support student success.
Term 3 Conference Dates
- Thursday, March 20, 2025: 5:00pm - 8:00pm (Microsoft Teams)
- Friday, March 21, 2025: 9:00am - 12:00pm (Microsoft Teams)
Parent(s)/guardian(s) are asked to book their conference times with specific teachers using the Calgary Board of Education’s School Conference Booking application, which can be found on the MyCBE PowerSchool Parent Account. Families who register for the Friday time slot will receive an email with the Microsoft Teams link for the meeting included. Please contact the school’s main office at (403) 249-3131 if you require additional support in setting up your MyCBE Parent Account.
Ernest Manning High School staff are committed to on-going communication to support student success. Please contact your student’s teacher to arrange alternative times/dates to discuss your student’s academic progress to date if you are unable to connect on either March 20 or 21, 2025.

How to Book a School Conference
- Log-in to MyCBE. If you do not have an account, follow the Create a MyCBE Account instructions.
- Click on the My School Conferences icon.
- Click on the time slot that is available and convenient for you. Ensure pop-up windows are allowed.
- In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.
Create a MyCBE Account
- Go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on the “Create Parent Account” link.
Important: the email that you are using to create your account must be the same one you have provided to the school. If you are unsure, please contact the school office. - Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email.
- After your account is confirmed, you can login to the system.
